Yorkshire Evening Post - Family Cycle Hire - Oct 09

Our day of outdoors activity started after breakfast when the four of us took delivery of hired mountain bikes.

Expecting something far more mundane, it was a pleasant surprise to be presented with bikes that had no problems tackling the undulating hills surrounding the village of Scorton where we were based.

Cycle Adventure, the bike hire company, are clearly an organisation with an infectious passion for biking and after an extremely helpful few minutes of explanation about the equipment, we're pushing off on our cycling adventure.

It really is an excellent way to see the countryside up close.

Aided by the early morning sunlight of a crisp autumnal Thursday, our six mile route took us through some incredibly picturesque scenery, from winding country lanes to cycle tracks running parallel with babbling brooks.

Thanks once again for your excellent cycle rides through the Marin trail.  As always, the kids were well cared for by yourself and encouraged to move beyond their personal limits in terms of stamina, and technical skills. You enriched our trip tremendously, and every single pupil got far more out of the experience than they expected, thanks to your expert guidance.  Many kids (and staff) commented on the excellent and very smart condition of the bikes, and as an avid cyclist myself I could tell that they were well maintained - everything running smoothly, and sharply.  Greatly appreciated!

The cycle event was great, the boys enjoyed themselves and you organised it really well, also I appreciated the communications from yourself when I was trying to book everything, it can be difficult organising for large groups but you were very supportive. 

The equipment was top notch and I liked the attention that you paid to the safety aspects, which was also commented on by some of the other parents ( they happen to be headmasters etc so they are well aware of the potential traumas ).

City Youth Group - mountain bike hire and instruction - Aug & Oct 08

Hi Stuart,

On behalf of the SAYO children, I would like to thank you for such an enjoyable afternoon cycling on Wed 13th Aug. The children haven't stopped talking about it. They keep asking if they can go again ! (Which I'm sure we will)

I would also like to pass on my thanks for a very professional service. In these times of excessive rules and regulations, you made it very easy for us to see all your relevant operating procedure, risk assessment, qualifications and maintenance records etc.

This in turn gave me confidence in your ability to lead this session in a professional manor and when you did take the session I wasn't disappointed.

I have recommended you to other departments within Salford City Council and will definitely be coming back for more in the near future. Once again many thanks for such a great afternoon.

Scout Group - mountain bike hire - May 08

Hi Stuart,

Without doubt the best experience we have had in our 5 years of Summer Camp and hiring cycles. The equipment was excellent, very impressive looking bikes, helmets and a really good supply of spares and repair tools.

The Scouts had a very safe and enjoyable experience, Beacon Fell was a great suggestion, a one way system and an off-road experience at the top meant we could manage the group easily and without the stress of oncoming traffic. You could not have been more helpful through the whole process, from the initial contact, prompt return of emails and phone calls and the collection and delivery service was first class.

It was good to see you getting TV recognition recently on North West tonight I think and I wish you every success in the future. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to fellow Scout groups, voluntary organizations and generally anyone looking for a great cycle experience. For overall enjoyment & satisfaction you would definitely get a 10 out of 10 from us.
